Expensify's Upgraded Food Cart Pod to Offer Over 300 Seats, Outdoor Ambiance, and Returning Favorite Carts

Portland's oldest food cart pod is undergoing a transformation after decades of operation. Expensify, the payment app company, recently announced plans to revamp the food cart space located at Southwest 5th Avenue and Harvey Milk Street, rebranding it as the "Midtown Beer Garden."

The enhanced Midtown Beer Garden is set to debut in July. Illustrations released by Expensify showcase an expanded area that will fully utilize the parking lot space. The new beer garden will have over 300 seats, a music stage, bathrooms, a central bar cart, on-site security, and even heaters for the colder weather.

The Midtown Beer Garden will welcome back all of the beloved food carts currently at the food cart pod. Gyro Place, Alibaba Takeaway, Khob Khun Thai food, Korean Twist, La Jarochita, Mawj Babylon Cuisine, Mr. Taco, Ocean Aloha, Small Pharaoh's Falafel, and Tito's Burritos are among the returning favorites.

Stay tuned for updates as more details about the grand reopening become available.
