A new cycling brand focused on premium performance and lifestyle cycling apparel has launched out of Portland. The new apparel brand, KANSEPT1, is locally designed by George Nelson, who most notably worked as a designer for NIKE.

Nelson says the limited edition apparel and gear are designed to be “stylish, without compromise, and built to last”

“This brand is much more than a passion project,” Nelson says, “KANSEPT1 is…what I’ve been working towards my entire career.” Nelson has previously worked with brands like NIKE, Salomon, Pearl Izumi, and Patagonia.

The initial launch has bibshorts, jerseys, and socks for the professionals as well as stickers and t-shirts for those who want to represent the brand when they’re not cycling. The new products feature premium design elements and fabrics to enhance fit, comfort, and performance. In the future, KANSEPT1 plans to offer a full year-round collection catered to various cycling needs for both the dedicated outdoor cyclist and the indoor stationary trainer.

KANSEPT1 is currently distributing products through their website, and at West End Bikes downtown.
